Principal's Report

  Towards the end of this semester we received some great news in relation to our school’s performance and outcomes for students: Caboolture State School was identified as one of the top 14 schools to have shown improvement in their year 3, 5 and 7 test results over time across reading, writing and number. This is an outstanding result for our school and is testimony to the quality of our teachers and the programs we implement. Our year 2 Net Data in writing and number indicates that the percentage of students requiring additional support is less than their peers statewide.School Opinion Survey data indicates that parental satisfaction with Caboolture State School’s performance is equal or above state satisfaction levels in the curriculum we offer, the teaching process, and learning climate.

  Class lists for 2009 will be released in the week commencing December 8. These lists will be placed on the windows on the Performing Arts side of the Administration building.
  Reports will be issued on Wednesday December 10. If you wish to discuss any aspect of your child’s report please contact their class teacher.
  The awards assembly for students in Prep to year 6 will be held from 1-45pm on Wednesday December 10. The school captains and vice captains for 2009 will be announced at this assembly.

P & C News
  Christmas stall will be on Wednesday 3/12, Thursday 4/12 and Friday 5/12. All items will be priced $5-00 or less. If any parents have any spare plastic shopping bags, would you please send them in. Our supply is low.
  Next P & C meeting is 10th December at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome.
 

Year 7 Dance Group

  The year 7 dance group will be performing at the school Christmas concert. We need as many mums or dads who can sew to help us make the girls circular skirts. All materials, cotton etc will be provided and if we get a few parents to help it shouldn’t take that long to make 20 skirts.

  End of year Christmas Concert is being held on Friday 5th December 2008. The P & C are holding a BBQ commencing at 5:30pm. The concert will then follow at 6:00pm sharp. Please try and keep this date free as the students are very excited about performing with their peers.
